What to do if you're in an automobile accident

At the Scene

  1. Stop immediately, but do not block traffic.
  2. Turn on your vehicle's flashers and telephone the local police.
  3. Assist anyone who may be injured / call 911 for ambulance if necessary:

  5. Unless your car is creating the potential for another auto accident, do not move it or the accident debris until you are instructed to do so by the investigating police officer.
